Cerys Williams has specialised in employment law since her qualification in 2000. She has a broad range of experience in this field, spanning both contentious and non-contentious work and has spent time "client-side" during a lengthy secondment to a well-known retail group.
Ms. Williams frequently advises on the employment aspects of corporate transactions and venture capital investment. In addition, she supports clients on the full range of employee matters including termination issues, discrimination law and contractual disputes. She has significant experience advising emerging companies and US clients expanding into Europe. Particular areas of interest include cross-border matters, TUPE and the effective protection of business interests through covenants and confidentiality provisions.
Ms. Williams is used to working closely with clients to provide practical, day-to-day HR advice and drafting, as well as managing larger transactions, disputes or projects. Ms. Williams has also provided in-house training to clients and professional bodies and has lectured on TUPE, settling disputes effectively, on managing inappropriate workplace behaviour and discrimination issues. She has contributed to a number of employment publications.
