Mr. Riegels has a corporate and securities practice representing a range of private and public emerging growth companies and venture capital firms, with an emphasis on venture financings, public company securities law compliance matters, mergers and acquisitions and general corporate counseling.
Mr. Riegels is registered to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office.
Before joining Heller Ehrman, Mr. Riegels was a judicial extern in the United States District Court, Eastern District of California for the Honorable William B. Shubb. Mr. Riegels was a summer associate at Heller Ehrman in 2005.
Before attending law school, Mr. Riegels worked as a securities analyst covering the biotechnology and drug discovery sectors at a national middle-market investment bank in New York and San Francisco.
During college, Mr. Riegels conducted biochemical and genetic research on intra-cellular trafficking between membrane-bound compartments in the secretory pathway, focusing on the mechanics of vesicle docking.
