Based in the London office, Richard Eaton is a partner in the European Corporate Department. He joined Heller Ehrman in 2007.

Experience

Mr. Eaton's practice focuses on mergers and acquisitions, securities law, including public and private securities offerings, as well as a range of international matters, including public and private placements for UK issuers and inward and outward-bound acquisition transactions. Mr. Eaton's clients include companies engaged in a wide range of technology sectors such as optical, semiconductor design, alternative energy, software and security products.

Mr. Eaton's experience includes representation of both UK and foreign companies in the acquisition of both public and private companies. His experience also includes representation of both UK and foreign issuers and underwriters on IPOs and follow-on offerings.

• Acting for Autonomy Corporation plc on its $500m acquisition of Verity, Inc. and related debt and equity financing.
• Acting for Wolfson Microelectronics plc on its listing on the London Stock Exchange.
• Acting for Atlantic Bridge Ventures on its ₤265m acquisition of the telecoms products division of LogicaCMG plc.
• Acting for SPI Lasers plc, GTE plc, Gatekeeper Systems, Inc. and Ocean Power Technology, Inc. on their respective listings on the AIM market of the London Stock Exchange.
